How We Review
We put every site through the same hands-on process and score it from 1 to 5 on five criteria. A site has to earn its rating, and nothing is scored on reputation alone.
- Video Quality: resolution, streaming stability, and how good the content actually looks, from standard HD all the way up to 4K.
- Library Size: how much content is available, how often it’s updated, and whether the catalog has real depth or just filler.
- Value for Money: what you actually get for the price, including free trials, billing options, and whether the subscription is worth it.
- Safety & Privacy: secure payment handling, discreet billing, data protection, and the absence of malware or shady redirects.
- User Experience: site speed, ease of navigation, search and filtering, and how well everything works on mobile.
Each criterion gets its own score from 1 to 5, and together those scores shape the overall rating we publish on every review.
Our Standards
Safety comes first. Only sites that meet our minimum safety standards make it into the Highluz directory. If a platform fails on security or privacy, we leave it out, no matter how popular it is.
